to much acid will do that. i thought i was dying. but they can treat this i take protonix which is better then nexium i had to double my dose. also until its under control they may need to give you lorzapam to calm your nerves. the reflux gets worse at night. try to cut out any thing with acid in it. no juice or cokes and stay a way from caffeine. it takes a lot of acid to digest meat so try and cut your meat intake down. stay away from fruit. and tomato's good luck ill keep you in my prayers
