Getting Army orders in hand?

My husband was told that he would be reporting to Ft. Lewis on April 10th. We are taking his 45 days of leave and leaving on March 1st so that we have plenty of time to find a place to live (off post) and get situated before he starts work. We have already given our 30 day notice to our apartments and it is now almost February but there is no word on his actual orders. We need the paperwork to go to Transportation to set up for the movers before we need to be out of our apartment. I'm having serious anxiety that the end of February will come and he still wont have the orders~ meaning all of our stuff wont be packed and we will need to be out of our apartment. How long does it normally take for the actual orders to get sent down through the chain of command??
