Should it be illegal to fly the Confederate flag, like the Nazi flag in Germ.,how is it not supporting treason?

The Confederate flag shows their pride in their southern roots. Not a longing for slavery to be reinstated. (I hope this isn't lost on you.) And they did not create treason by leaving. They felt, wrongly (but strongly) that they should not be dictated to on how they run their households. Very little of the civil war was directly related to the slaves. The north was shutting down their corporations by refusing them access to the ports for exporting. Now i am totally with the north on the value system, but the southerns use it as a sign to show "I'm from the south and I love it." Not "lets chain the blacks and whip them"
