Would you read this story?

Yes, I would both buy it and read it. But I would do so more quickly, and buy a series of these books, if they started out closer to or in college (I loved the book The Secret History, by Donna Tartt) and went into young adulthood. Young adults can get into so much more believable trouble as compared to high school students.
