I'm having severe rectum pain?

Recently, I've been having this sharp, shooting pain running through my rectum. It just started occurring within the past couple months, but now its becoming more frequent. I realize i probably need to go to the doctor, but I'm not home for a couple weeks. Any idea what it could be? (and no I'm not gay)
