Is It Weird For My BoyFriend To Always Want TO have fun with other peple??

Ok sometimes he will just come outa the blue and say if we dont hang out with any one today some one is goin to stay the nigh im sick of this...... its like that at least once a month he will want some one to stay so we can have fun or somethin to do.. but when ppl do stay all they do is sit on our couch all day and do nothing but he never wants to do anything fun with me like i will say ----------we can go to the movies or the skating rink he will say oh can this person and this person go to??? i dont get it is that all guys or is somethin wrong here if so please help me out with any inf you can give....we been together for 8 yrs and he loves me dearly i just dont get this???
