HELP camera problems?

ok so i drooped my camera and well now it wont turn on i think my warranty is up and i don't have much money to get it fixed its a Panasonic Lumix 5.0 mega pixel mega O.I.S. when i get it to do anything it says "mode dial is not in proper position..... what do i do??? help my BF is coming home from iraq in a few days and we're also going to WA i need my camera fixed before all this happens....
